Better Homes & Gardens is putting forth a  1,000,000 (one million) National Pillowcase Challenge.  Make and bring in a standard pillowcase to be dropped off at our store.

Calling all quilters, sewers and crafters! American Patchwork & Quilting is challenging you to join our efforts to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference. Every pillowcase can make a difference in your community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident.

To participate, find a shop hosting One Million Pillowcase Challenge events in your area (Thait's us, Quiltworks!!) Once your pillowcases are complete and donated locally, log on to the  National Pillowcase Challenge to enter how many pillowcases you made. Help us reach our goal of ONE MILLION Pillowcases.

In January, 47 pillowcases were turned over to the Shriners' Hospital.  So far in February, 16 pillowcases have been dropped off at the store in the basket to be turned over.  Let's help make this month better than the last by bringing in all of those pillowcases.
